About StudyOwl

StudyOwl is a friendly AI study buddy for children in Class 1 to 5. It helps with homework, explains chapters in short and simple pages, and gives quizzes and mock tests so children can practise what they learn.

Why we built it

Children often get stuck on a homework question when nobody is free to explain it. StudyOwl is there at that moment, and it also helps with the rest: reading a chapter, practising, and revising the questions that went wrong. Every school uses a different book, so StudyOwl lets a parent add the subjects and chapters from the child's own textbook.

What it is, and what it is not

• It is a companion for homework, revision and practice.
• It is not a replacement for a teacher or for school.
• It uses AI, and AI can make mistakes. Please check important answers, and use "Report an Issue" in the app if something looks wrong.

Built with parents in mind

• A parent signs up with their Google account and sets up the child's profile.
• No ads, and we do not sell data.
• A weekly report, reminders and a screen-time reminder keep parents in the picture.
• The account and all its data can be deleted at any time.
